I just wanted to reach out and say that I really appreciate you putting in the time to share that storage method — I know these tutorials take effort. But honestly, I followed every step, invested hours setting up service accounts, config files, scripts, even dealing with Google Cloud errors... only to later find out that after April 15, 2025, new service accounts no longer get Google Drive storage.
I wish that extremely important detail had been mentioned at the start of the tutorial or pinned somewhere clearly — it would have saved me (and probably others) a lot of time and frustration. I was really relying on this for extra space and feel kind of defeated after all the work.
Not blaming you personally, but please consider updating your post or adding a clear disclaimer for anyone coming across it now. It would really help prevent others from going through what I did.
